At least it thawed enough for a hunt! Hunted after work outside of the office today where a lot of American troops train. Hunted for about an hour. Found a nice handful of clad, Euros and a nice surprise, a WWI button with a rampant lion on it. Had to leave several good signals as it was still frozen in places 3

We had some snow melt & I could actually see the ground finally. I had the Excel in my trunk so I put my "wellies" on & walked out into a muddy field. It was very soupy, so I needed the boots. Then I got a good signal &...........THUMP! I almost blew out my right shoulder jamming the shovel into the ground The top 2 inches might be all muddy, but we are still soild below that It's really too bad because the ground is so wet that it's great conductivity. Maybe the woods or a grassy area would work?
