Had to send in my AT-Pro for warranty repair!!!!

The withdrawal pain, the agony!! :stretcher:

My ground balance packed it in. Wouldn't work in auto and in manual I had a 20 point spread of silence, no high or low tone to go by.

Sigh.

Glad they have such good service though. I even sent all three coils so everything will be checked over when she gets back home.

Guess I'll be swinging my brick in the meantime. The advantage of having two machines!!

Thay don't break down sitting in a closet not being used......you are out a lot getting good use for it. Sorry to it get some issues, but, Garrett has excellent customer service and will look after you.

I'm having the same problems with my AT-PRO ground balance !!
Is anybody else having ground balance problems with their AT-PRO ?
Guess I'll be sending mine in soon too !!
Have already had her in for falsing and had the up grade done.
BUMMER...I LOVE THIS MACHINE...

If there is little mineralization in your soil, the AT won't ground balance. It should be fine. if you are having other problems because you can't be ground balance, give Garrett a call.

[size=large]don't forget to check for dirt under the coil cover.

No dirt under coil cover because there's no coil cover!!!

Had the same problem in three seperate locations where the auto balance procedure had worked before.

The nice lady at Garrett said go ahead and send it in and if you want send in all three coils and they'll check them out as well. Then we had a nice talk about our favorite detector. They really are good people to deal with.

I just hope my poor little thing doesn't get lonely and bored. I mean no dirt or sand to play in. That promising river bank we just found last weekend being missed. Not even a little swim at the beach! Her big brother the E-Trac will have to carry the full load but he doesn't like the water at all.

He'll probably get lonely without his sibling riding around with him in the truck this weekend!

I know you'll miss it..
I'm sure it will be back soon.. :))

Got word that my AT-Pro is on it's way home today. They said my large coil was bad, the other two tested good, and that they installed an upgraded component as part of routine work when a unit comes in. That appears to have solved the ground balance issue when they tested it.

My withdrawal is almost over!

I don't know whether my issue is a problem or not with GB. It seems like when I turn my AT on it remembers the last GB I used. I've reset it to factory specs and the auto balance seems to work find.
