Well todd and I hit the field of dreams today. ole Todd did not dig squat for almost two hours.
I see him digging a target finally and as I watch he just threw everything off...his detector...headphones...digger...stuff was flying off and he was near tears....a nd jumping around like no ones business.
I knew as I watched that he must have found the one coin we have been after for 10 years or more......we laughed...we cried....we jumped up and down for 20 minutes.
Sudeenly realizing we looked rather gay out there in teh field doin the Pine Tree Schilling dance together....but screw em.....it is a SCHILLING.
Todd is at my house now as I post this...he is so jacked still we had to quit detecting for today.
I think he needs a drink now.

I think, and I'm sure everyone else agrees, that this definitely warrants receiving the "Golden Welk" award... So whoever's got it, give it up to the man! Write a story for W&E Treasures also! Someone may offer you big bucks for it.

I'll bet you'll be out in that field again, that'll field will be your new whipping boy for the rest of this year.

Good job guys!

Some versions are worth 2-3 grand easy.....and even some up above 5 grand. However I=from what I could find this large placnhet variety runs 500-1000 it seams...plus.. if you notice the coin has been clipped heavily along the edges...you can't even read the Massachusetts any longer. So that may reduce it a bit although the detail is very nice for a 350 year old coin.
Probably best if he had it appraised as the values can range widely.

Congrats man. That is one beautiful coin and find of a lifetime. That's even better than finding Grorge Washington's lost high school class ring!!!!

What's your second goal?
