Oh Elizabeth - This is the BIG one! (First Diamonds)

Today I found my 9th ring, and my 3rd gold one, and my first one with diamonds. There are 13 diamonds in all. Six on each side and the big one on top. It is 14K White gold.

I was frustrated the first half of the day and was having trouble just finding a place that allowed me to metal detect and finally just decided to come back home and hit the spots I had been hitting.

In total for the day I found 2 quarters, 2 nickels, two pull-tabs and the ring. I'm afraid that I might be having a spate of beginners luck. It could be that I'm just sticking to fundamentals since I'm not sure what I'm doing. But I am having a great time right now with the Excalibur.

I keep setting goals. First was to find anything Gold, then to find a ring, then to find a gold ring, and then to find a diamond. I have hit them all in order. I don't know what my next goal will be now. Perhaps a chain, platinum, 18K and 24K. But, today I'm just deep down content.

It is white gold, regardless of the tint in the pictures.

Dude, I had no idea water hunting in the greater Knox Vegas area could be that good. We need to get together so that you can show me the ropes.

You can get one at the TVA towers down town. It is free, but you have to have it to hunt in the lakes.

I do not believe that this ring is anywhere near the norm. I'm probably having a little bit of beginners luck. Call me when you get some time and we will go.
