I had a chance to hit an old house being renovated - lots of dirt being pushed around. Well, the general area didn't produce much in the way of coinage, but I had luck on an untouched piece of the yard. The driveway was cescent shaped and the narrow stretch of grass between the driveway and the road had a large ancient tree in the middle. I started on the right side and my buddy took the left. He was moving quick trying to cover ground and wound up on my side. I laughed and moved over to where he had started. In an area about five feet around, I pulled up a 1902 Barber dime, a silver Washington, a Chinese cash coin and an 1808 half cent. The half cent is misshapen and the features very flat - looks like some one might have hit it with a hammer. I haven't cleaned it so the features are hard to see. I also found a broken crotal bell and a brass buckle. The next day I found two crotal bells and another broken one. Also an 1892 IH, a few wheaties and a buffalo nickel.
Later I went back to the old farm location I've been hitting the past few weeks. I found a few more flats ( 3 guilt) and another metal button (size of a dime and silverish grey. My heart almost stopped when I saw the edge in the dirt). Also found a LC size token - says "(something) token" across the bottom and has a figure standing in the center. It's in tough condition. The reversre has dimples all over it no other features.
