Odd find

Circle C Digger

New member
Just started detecting again after a 2 year lull. My nephew owns a small home built around 1940 in Luling, TX. 30 minutes into my search I found what turned out to be a "1910 Excelsior Shoe for Boys medal". It is in terrific shape. Attached is a link describing this coin.

I also found a 1958 silver dime and 48 pennies. I have only begun to scratch to surface of this lot. There are so many dang pennies in the ground, I quit digging them up and started looking for just bigger denominations.

I've found a couple of those medals too! (Fun stuff.) I'm with Flintstone....dig those pennies as they need to out of there to find other stuff plus...they are not always pennies.)
