I've been working out of state the last week and finally got home to warm sunniness Thursday. Took a few minutes today and hunted the yard next door finding a number of modern coins going back to 1963 and this little tag. I thought it was another penny until I cleaned it up a bit and noticed the hole at the top. Turns out to be a Fort Dodge rabies vaccine tag. No clue on how old it is. It was buried about 6 inches down in the remains of an old garden long over grown. The Compadre sounded off like it was a coin.
