For about a day or so I thought I might of had a 1916-D ... I was afraid to clean it any more to see exactly what the mintmark was. There was just enough crud on it to make it look like a D in my mind. Oh well .... still a first year merc .. I love it. Scared up another silver this morning at my favorite resort. Had to try out the new Sunray X-8 at the "proving grounds" ..... 51-D was the first silver with the X-8. You lose a little depth compared with the 10X12 SEF of course ... but I love how it makes the Explorer as a whole much lighter. And I think am picking up shallow targets that otherwise might have been shadowed by deeper iron. The 10X12 is still my favorite, but I like having more options. Have a good week everyone !

Very nice, good work. Silver is always good, personally I wouldn`t know, but some day I will. Good hunting!
