Ocean City - Revisited - Tuff Hunt - Great Finds

Bia and I packed the kids and spent a full day Saturday and part of Sunday hunting the sand at Ocean City... again. This time wasn't nearly as bad as the last one. Although it was sanded in we managed to hunt it. When we first hit the sand the waves had came up so far that the entire beach was wet sand loaded with broken shells. It was hell for me because I hunt bare foot. At low tide the slope was steep and ended with a 2 foot cut then dropped into the 3 feet of rip current about 20 feet wide. On the other side was a huge dry sand bar, maybe 50 yards, where there was another slope and the waves broke on the other side. It was fun hunting all of these little islands!

All of the sinkers came from the edge of the cut. The rings came from the main slope during high tide.

The ring is 10k with 2 diamonds and an unknown stone that has some pretty cool lines that seem to move around inside. The lines also react to light. Any ideas what kind of stone it is?

The other ring and earring are 925

Star saphires are real stones and are sometimes expensive. looking at the setting it may be costume but i would have a Gemoligist ( not a jeweler ) look it over just for giggles.

Nice Finds....... It looks as if you are doing better in Ocean City than we did in Va. Beach. The surf lane continues to be sanded in and the finds are few and far between. Oh well a bad detecting at the beach is better than a good day at work.
HH and continued good luck
