OBX trip

Wife and I had a long weekend visiting the Outer Banks. Not a lot of targets with the detector ... but was happy with what was found. Knife was fairly big target and deep, thought I was chasing a can. Ray Bans lit up the detector on a wave passing me. I watched the water as it was going back out and snagged them as they were about to go back out. First ones I haven't destroyed digging or found so scratched up that they were not usable. The weights are going towards building our fishing gear. We are starting to pick up what we need to do some fishing from the beach or pier.
Enjoy!

Sounds like a good time !! I rarely see sunglasses in the beach's of the bay.

Yes, it was a great time. Seem to find more sunglasses in the Myrtle Beach area than other places we visit. Oldest daughter stopped by this evening and said she had to get sunglasses since one of the lenses would not stay in on the pair she had ... the Ray Bans are now hers.

Have spent more time fishing the local waters and detecting the distant ones this summer. Have been rigging for catfish and have been getting good at frying them up with a light dredge in buttermilk then a corn meal / regular flower mix. Very tasty with a slice of tomato from the garden on toast with a tiny little bit of tarter sauce.

Keep up your great gold finds this summer!
Cheers,
