Oak Savana Relic Hunt With The Green Fella...

Spanky

New member
Well, I was going to do another beach hunt today but mother nature had other plans. A hard cold north wind was a blowing and I was under dressed even though I had a sweater and heavy winter jacket not mention thick knitted mittens and such. I tried but its hard swinging a detector when your fighting the wind as well. Soooooo.....I made a trip to an old oak forested area (out of the wind) and had my self a relic hunt. I searched around the path as well as the biggest trees.
All the coins were found at the base of the trees. No old coins but I'm not complaining. I did find an interesting stone object that had a smooth bored hole in it and was wondering if it were an Indian artifact? It appears old.I also found a rocket ship....heavy item...I'm guessing its lead. I found a brass clasp as well as another tee type item which again I have no idea what it is. All in all I had a nice outing. The weather is to turn to snow by Friday evening so I may try the beach in the morning.....dressed heavier.
Love that fresh air !

Cheers!

You never know what will turn up. I once found a stash (58 to be exact)of tokens, which were quite rare. Only three were known in existence. They were appraised at about $90.00 a piece. Probably the best find in my life.
