"Oak Park Peddler" brass badge..help!

Say guys, I found a pair of these today in Western Mid Michigan in the water, both still have the brass pin on the back, so a fellow could actually wear them as is... any info anybody came come up with? I tried to google all the variances of this, but get nothing! I'm not very literate with the interweb masheen....It would sure be cool to find out the specific people these were assigned to and what they were 'Peddling' back then...Makes me wonder?

if the numbers at the bottom the same they may be the issue date. if so someone in Oak Park 80 or over may know something about them. also try histories or papers from around that time. good finds and good luck on the research..

Thanks Chuck, I'm guessing they are from Oak Park Il. since West Mich got a lot of Chicago folks up here in the summer back in those days, but am not sure...theres a lot of 'Oak Parks' out there...

Those are probably license tags peddlers are required to have before they can sell their goods. Some towns in this area, including the one I live in, require a license for peddlers to set up at the farmers markets that are held on a monthly basis from April through September. Same for yard or garage sales, a $5 license is required for those before the sales can take place.
