"O"s and Western Canuck type of finds....photos

From the land of the Bluenose...well it was a great day that turned into a not so great day then back to an ok type of day. Started off ok with an early trip to Tim's with a most wonderful lady who I drove to work...I am one lucky bouy in that department. Once Marie was dropped off at the golden arch it was off to Windsor to pick up Makinholes and swish in a few lowered lakes as they were doing dam repairs. Off course the day got bad at this point as my muffler on Goquickski gave a bang and for the rest of the day drowned out Led Zeppelin!

Picking Myles, up whom I'm sure heard me before he saw me and it was off to the lake. I went into the drink and Makinholes was doing just that on land finding the first ring of the day in the form of a mood ring. After what seemed like a ton of bottle caps and pull tabs the coins started flowing into the old sieve then ...crack...me sieve pole broke so it was into land, into the trunk and a new pole. Felt like a boy scout on this account as I was "Prepared." Meanwhile Myles pulled out a 62 and 68 silver quarter to add to his pile of coins. My second target back in the water was a nice silver ring which I believe represents the "Star of David" followed shortly by a kids ring then the honker of a gold 10k wedding band with a small diamond.

Continuing on as was Myles who was trying to find enough beaver tail pull tabs to go around the world my next find was one that could only befit Western Canada as out out popped a Winchester Rifle belt buckle....Lord love a duck how did that get here so I hurriedly looked to see if one of those cowbouys from out west that is prairie country had met an unfortunate end......ummmmmm not the case this time!

Anyway it was off to another lake and the usual assortment of finds with Makinholes taking to the water this time like a duck! A few more coins each and it was off to Wacky Mackies for some burgers.

After a full gut was had we did a land dig at a field with next to nil luck but was a nice day so we didn't mind too much. Dropped Makinholes off at the local bowling alley as I think he was in his hustling mode.

Arrived home with a gold 10k band, 2 silver, 2 kids rings, a brooch, the buckle, a lighter8 keys and 89 coins @ $11.32...not quite enough for a new muffler!
