"O" Ring On The Infinium or Mark II

Somebody had recently asked about what type of lubricant to use on the "O" ring used in the battery pack plug. Here's the response I recieved from Garrett:

"Hi John,

I checked the specs on our o-rings and found that this is high grade military type rubber called Nitrile Rubber. The statement on page 29 of the owner
 
If any of you out there knows a telephone man ask him if he has a DB kit that you can have,the DB kit has the best Silicon Grease you can find.I have been using it for about 25 years and it work GREAT. So happy hunting ,Ron Lord Naples,Fl

I only use the silicone grease for all my water machines. It is easily obtainable at your local hardware strore and it just takes a tiny, tiny amount to do the job. And try not to get it on your hands either. First time I used it, I just smeared it on with my finger and it raced all over my hands!! Took a week to finally get it gone!!
