NY or Bust :detecting: Anyone know if the Lesche is OK in check-in luggage??

I'm packing my detector and have about 5+ days to detect :detecting:

I was lucky to find an out of print history book on the county I'm traveling to and have already found about 6-8 large public places to detect that date back to the early 1800's, possibly earlier. I'm hoping to break into the 1700's and find a large cent  We'll see, may be wishful thinking :drinking:

I'm bringing the control box, headphones, small coil , Pro-Pointer and cigars :smoke: in my carry-on (bet that gets double scanned).

Anyone know if it's OK to pack you Lesche digger in your check-in luggage? :ninja:

If anyone is around Corning, I'm happy to met within an hour or so for a hunt

If a tiny pen knife is not OK then I wouldn't try a digging tool. You may end up detained & with a hefty fine. If you don't want to check luggage in, then pre-shipping it via UPS may be the way to go. The other option is to buy a cheapie digger when you arrive.

Sorry I actually meant is it OK to bring the Lesche in CHECK-IN luggage

I work so much better after coffee

I have taken a large digging knife to England twice and had to problem with the check-in luggage, I pack it in my suitcase with one of my detectors.............Lee

Depends on how much you enjoy a cavity search:wacko:Put it in your suitcase if you are taking one. TAS doesn't have a sense of humor about large pointed metal objects in your carry on.
