Three days in Atlantic City; weather was good but hot.

Sun glasses only have one word on them; China. Gold looking stuff: chain clasps have St Steel etched on them as does the pendant with Christ wearing a crown of thorns. The smaller goldish pendant is the grim reaper in plated over copper. The ring is plated over copper. Large pendant that is sand encrusted is brown but base metal is a brass color when scraped, and has a skull and cross bones with gears at the bottom.

Best of the weekend was $11.04 in clad plus a Septa token.

I feel for you. My beaches have become extremely stingy. I can find clad and lots and lots of Sinc pennies but precious metal has become as scarce as chickens teeth.

SEPTA is South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.

Funny thing about the "gold chain" is that I was right in front of someone when the scoop pulled it and the one pendant up out of the wet sand. Two guys were screaming OMG look what he found. So I looked at the pendant, saw ST STEEL and showed them that it was not what it appeared; then I pouched it.

Atlantic City was, as we have normally found it, an interesting place to visit and do some people watching. We unfortunately saw many more needles dropped on the board walk and side walks than on previous trips. I hunt with boots on but because of the needle observations, my wife kept shoes on when walking the beach.

As we were heading out of town we grabbed our favorite sub sandwiches at the White House Sub shop to take home. Each sub makes a couple of delicious meals.

I've found 17 rings in the last 30 days at the beach and in a lake, All junk but one and it was sterling. I'm amazed at the junk people are wearing now days. And the sad part is they are paying excessive prices for junk that has zip resale value. Can you imagine that they will pay from 25 to 45 dollars for 10 grams of stainless steel,tungstan that on an equivalent scale based upon intrinsic value to resale value is more than what they would pay for gold.
