Not on the X-Terra.
On the darn thermometer! And they are expected to be way down in the "ferrous range" next week. :rage: I need to move somewhere that the ground doesn't freeze! HH Randy

Comeon down to Alabama Randy. We relic hunt in the winter time and Huntsville is a real nice place to live, not as uncultured as everybody in the upper U.S. thinks.

We usually have mild winters here on the Texas Gulf Coast but today is an exception, at noon my outside thermometer is reading 30 degrees F and it's snowing, very unsual this time of the year or for the whole winter season as far as that goes, kind of puts a dampner on hunting, my XT705 just wants to stay in the closet where it's nice and warm.....HH

ROFLMAO at Randy:rofl::rofl::rofl: and I was upset because it was only 41 here to day in Virginia. COME ON DOWN!!!!

I feel your pain Randy, it's the same over on my side of the state. Tuesday was the last time I was out MD'ing. After that the thermometer took a dive. Tue. I started a new field/school house and found a 1895s Barber dime and a 1891 V. It would be nice if I could get back to that place before the ground freezes up for the winter.

The ground is nice and soft here in New Mexico!! I'll be expecting you.

Thanks for the invite....... If I ever get into your neck of the woods, I'm going to take you up on your offer. But I have to tell you, growing up and living here in my part of the Country, the only culture I am familiar with is Agri-culture! HH Randy

I saw on the news where Houston was getting snow today. The weather-guessers are saying it'll be snowing again here in a few days. Unfortunately, when this one hits, it will probably stick around for several months. HH Randy

Be careful what you ask for!! I might just take you up on it. I don't know what part of VA you live in. But my ancestors settled in the Culpeper County area in the mid 1700's. I always wanted to go run the detector around their old homesteads. HH Randy

Fortunately, I was able to get out on Tuesday as well. Although I didn't hit any silver, I got an IH and some old wheats. I suppose we should be thankful that we were able to get out at all in the month of December. It isn't every year we can say that. HH Randy

Darn you guys! If you keep offering the invitations, I might just surprise you with a visit! :detecting: I can only imagine being able to get out and detect, any month of the year. HH Randy

G4E, 32 degrees is only warm when you are finding silver! Hope you found some today. Tomorrow it is suppose to get to the mid 30's around here. Then we better make sure the barn door is closed! Snow forecasted on Sunday with another 6 inches on Tuesday. Highs in the 20's all next week with lows in the single digits. Looks like it is drawing to a close around here. HH Randy

Well, you beat me by one IH. But I was fortunate to hunt over by the river. Nice loam soil..... easy to dig...... and the coins are in pretty decent condition. Nice patina and minimal corrosion. Good to find em like that, for a change! HH Randy

Man you guys,
I'm jelous, I havn't been able to get out for four weeks when monday comes. Not all due to weather though.

I am hoping to get out next week, if it thaws out. Things are starting to settle down.

HH

Well of course it was sunny and 62 on Wenesday. Today in the 40"s and raining. The only advantage is that I can still hunt if the rain ever quits, Beale.

Must be in SoCal Trackerman.
My wife has a friend here from Riverside and she is feeling like a popsicle, had to buy a coat just to come!
