Nugget Detecting with the V3

desertdawn

New member
I purchased the V3 a few months ago to do primarily coin/relic detecting. Somewhere down the road, I would like to get a TDI or a GMT for nugget shooting. I figure by then there will be a "new & improved" version of both! In the mean time, I am going to head for the Rye Patch with the V3. If anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated. I have the D2 & 5.3 coils. In the prospecting mode, is there any way to get tone changes like the GMT ? I used it in Osceola. I was picking up junk like old wire. Should I just assume the machine is programmed for the gold range and one must just "dig it all"? I see a lot of rave reviews on the MXT but virtually nothing for the V3 when it comes to nugget shooting.
