Today after babysitting two grandsons for a few hours - something made me rush home and hit my hunted out park.
When I got there I told myself to hunt for nickels and hope for a quarter, typical coin shooter that I am.
Well I get a feeling to hunt around the path going towards the swing park. The ground slopes down on the way to the entrance of the swing park. I get a few coins but nothing cool. So I follow that path around a pine tree going towards the right side of the tree. I get a wheat cent at five or six inches that rang up 27/26 but not solid it jumped a bit. Next I get a mixed signal but included every now and then a high number but only in one direction. I took a chance and get a large piece of iron. I put the pinpointed back in the hole and get another signal. Out comes the second piece of iron nail or bolt, short but heavy like the first. I try the pin pointer again and get another signal. I couldn’t believe it, a 1928 S Standing liberty quarter, holy cow….I am very happy to say the least. Really happy I get this from this hunted out park, no brag at all, just happy and very surprised at the same time.
