Nox 800 not taking a charge.

Looks like I'll be sending my new Nox in again for repairs. It was replaced 6-7 weeks ago because of a faulty power button, now it won't charge. I tried doing a reset, I tried another charger and nothing. It goes straight to a solid green light and will not charge. So, once again off to Minelab for I'm sure another new control housing. I may have 20 hours of use on this one, I've charged it 2 times before it quit charging. Not a happy camper as I had a weekend hunt planned coming up in 11 days.

I realize this wouldnt be a "fix" but you could get one of the power packs and use it for power supply to get you through the planned hunt. Maybe you could convince ML to ship you a new battery (and you might be the first one so far if they do)

I had a nice Anker power bank I bought in Feb. but, got rid of it since I figured I'd never need it :( My plan is to ask Minelab to send me another battery and I'll send this one back. Replacing the battery is a piece of cake, maybe takes 5-10 minutes max.

I had issues with lith batteries...... i was told the smart chargers wont recognize them if they drop below a certain charge. Here i had these pricy batteries and SMART charger and ended up having to slow charge them on my old ML charger. Thou it takes time to send it in to ML....... it helps them know what all the problems are.

I use that solar powered power bank and it works very well. But on the subject of the Nox and taking a charge, i get the impression my charge is lasting about 6 hours, maybe 7. The reason I am getting that impression is I have tuned back the hunting because of the darned heat and humidity to about 3-4 hours a trip and the battery died on me twice now in the middle of the second hunt. I will keep a more close eye on the times.

I am getting that 'screen wash' out quite often in the 95-98 and 90% humidity now. The first time it happened I thought I was having a heat stroke. But, 3 or 4 minutes in the shade, or walk with it in the shade of my body and it all gets squared away.

Jas...... is it possible your charger isnt putting out but so many watts not completely charging your machine....... ive got plenty of power after 7 hard AM hours?
