Nows A Good Time To Sell Your Scrap Copper

I've been throwing all of the scrap pieces of copper that I found metal detecting last season in a plastic tub. Number one grade copper is bringing an all time high here in Ohio - $3.28 a pound.
I took my in last week - you know - all the little pieces of pipe we find around old houses, copper fittings, etc. They gave me $33.00 cash for it - what the heck - buys a little gas.

I have quite a few copper pieces. Mostly pipe but some heave gauge ground wire I found just lying in a park. Probably about five feet long. Also hunted an older home recently and kept finding various copper pipe fittings on and in the ground. Kind of looked like someone spilled their fittings on the ground and did not get them all. Quite a few.

I will have to gather them all up and turn them in.

Will help pay for gas for sure.
