I don't post much on here,but im on here at least once a week. I guess I never have found anything worth while.
Today after the rain stopped I thought it would make for some easy digging so I went to a house me and a friend have hit a dozen times.
I wasn't expecting much and then out popped this thing a 1920s Ku Klux Klan token. Our history is so interesting. For what reason these where made
is beyond me and what's even crazier I dug one up. Anyways thought you folk's would like to see it.

Token was struck in Brass, Copper and Nickel at 28MM. The obverse features an Eagle (Symbol of American Fredom) soaring over Pike's Peak Colorado (Historic site of many of William Joseph Simmons's Klan Revival Meetings). The front says: "SYMWAO" = "Spend Your Money With Americans Only" and "MIAFA" = "My Interests Are For America" and the reverse features a fasces spead out and then unified which is suppose to represent tha Klan tenets. The words "Anthar" and Silba" also appear on the reverse and are part of a very well known klan motto: "Non Silba Sed Anthar" = "Not For Self But For Others" - It is the positioning of these two words on the reverse that gives away its secret meaning: "Anthar" = "Others" and "Silba" = "Self" ***Others above Self***.

Thanks for the post and the followup..truly amazing find, especially the meaning of the words on it... didja find out anything about the amount struck?
