I always figured the wings would be rather delicate but I guess not!

to take down and animal that large. They had a article on them here last night that they are coming back pretty strong now on the Connecticut River. One of these days I hope to go up there on the bike while its nice and get a picture of one. I have a plan to get pictures for you guys of Gillette's castle. A really nice native stone castle that you can go throught etc. Sits right on the CT River. Beautiful place..... Got any eagle taking picture tips Royal? I don't seem to be able to get good shots of birds....

that he posted the other day was outstanding.

We can not count on seeing them around here and if I have a camera and get a shot they are never what I would want. I gotta figure out that contrast thing and such :D I get a shot of them flying they are too dark as the camera adjusts for the sky.

I have seen them perching and posing nice but I never have a camera at those times:shrug:

similar, they are bigger than the Bald Eagle by quite a bit. I had heard that they could take down large critters but never saw anything like that!
