Can't beat my yard for diversity sometimes. After dinner this afternoon I took a few more minutes to hunt around the front and side of the house. Near the north side I got a solid hit in an area I've been over many times. The signal was strong but very fast so I knew it was deep. At almost nine inches I retrieved this Civil War era bullet. Getting hit with one of these things was either fatal or cost you a limb. It's no wonder some many thousands died during the conflict. We are about a block from what was a Civil War hospital and before that this entire area was in dispute during the Seminole Wars. That little Compadre is doing it's job every time.
