and Fred, the reason i was laughing so hard about your post to Bill on views about "Cowpokes"........
Quite a number of years ago, (early 70's) we had gone to look at a horse for sale. It was the same older lady horse dealer that i have mentioned before and it was the first time i had been there.
My brother Ken had been visiting and went along with me. Now Ken was a real character, sometimes he would say the most outrageous things, but his personality was such that he seemed to be able to get away with things that most guys would get "whacked" for
Having just met this old gal, i was still evaluating her. I was looking at a very nice Anglo Arab mare and after putting her through some paces, she and i were chatting and talking money while the Mare was loose in the corral. As we talked Ken was just lounging against a post on the far side of the Corral and the Mare came over to him to be petted.
Ken gave her an ear rub (horses liked him ) and after a bit she turned around and began rubbing her backside on the Corral fence and a moment later Ken yelled, Hey Red! Buy her, she is "stump trained"!
Well! I was mortified and thinking i should like to box his ears, the big goof! The old lady turned away from me and i thought the horse sale was over permanently, until i saw her shoulders shaking and realised that she was laughing fit to bust! She finally turned back to me and said......who is the horse for? I said..... him! We both laughed as he spluttered a bit, having outfoxed himself
I bought that horse, but was never allowed to forget that incident, every time i looked at horses at the old gals place she would chuckle and ask how my goofy brother was doing

I would have liked to have met him..

the two of you together should have been on Ripleys "Believe it or not"

Now I understand why you were laughing about my posted message to Bill on the Views Forum. It appears that your brother had a great sense of humor. Please have a great day! Kelley (Texas)
