Definitely "home-folks". There have been lots of fine shots with a sling shot over the years, mostly country folk out to get food. Hard times have made them better shots.

I've tried my hand in the past and tried bow shooting too, becoming only a fair shooter.

Nice thing about the sling shot is there are no sharp edges to hurt you, also they will carry easy.

The ammo will bounce back at you though if you are too close to the target so wearing safety glasses for close targets is a good idea.

Sometimes a few lead shoot in the sling pouch have brought down birds for the better shooters (not me).
