Nov. 26th Hunt- US Plate, NOrleans Coin, "V" Button

Yesterday's hunt at the same site turned out to be a special day which rarely happens in a career. I dug a US plate, a nice 1853 New Orleans Coin with rays, and a near mint "V" button. That hardly ever happens on the same day. Lamar Cannon dug the gold gilted snake pictured below.

You made some outstanding finds that anyone would be proud of. I'd be interested in hearing why you chosed the 18.75 kHz coil for this particular site. Did you find you had to lower the sensitivity setting on the X-70, and were there any specific settings that worked better than others? HH Randy

and I'll add another question to Digger's. Did you use the 18.75 elliptical DD?

Well, for me I like that coil better in trash. Seems to pick out the buttons by nails better. I had the sensitivity almost at max, threshold at 6, volume all the way up, noise cancel at -1, and disc. 1

I used the 18.75 eliptical the first time which worked fine in trash. The next two days I used the concentric 18.75 coil. Some people say the eliptical would be better but I liked the concentric, maybe I'm just being an old dog?. I wish they would come out with a small coil for trash. I have a feeling the small coil would do the best and be my favorite.

I managed an 1812 2nd artilery button and thought that was great, nothing compared to yours!
