Nottinghamshire ring?

For several years this ring was impaled on my garden fork until I examined it and for several more years it has lain in a drawer. It is too small to fit even my little finger but is very durable and showed no sign of corrosion.

Can anyone please tell me something about it?

Probably not but does look to be Indian person.
