Monte, as always I enjoy your comments. Can you describe your Accessory Coil Tote? Sounds interesting Thanks.
Sure I can. I have four or five of these that I use. One for all extra first aid and medicine items, one for a cook stove and cooking gear and propane tanks, another for extra new flashlights, an emergency radio, and all of my battery supply ... and trust me, I have a lot of AA alkaline batteries for flashlights and metal detectors ..
I just bought 6 more 24 packs on Saturday that I added to that tote tonight .. and the last of these totes is for my
Accessory Search Coils.
You might wonder what 'extras' I might have on hand, in the way of search coils, in there? I decided to get in there this evening and make a few search coil swaps for my current inventory of detectors so they are all ready for a grab-an-go set-up, and while we're enjoying another shot of wintry weather, very cold and a dash of light snow now and then, I figured I'd get everything ready for a return to spring weather ...
soon I hope! I have a good inventory of detectors that I like to keep ready for any Relic Hunting, Coin & Jewelry Hunting and occasional Beach Hunting I enjoy, and that means having a
Regular-Use 'Team' of detectors and coils to take on all sorts of site challenges.
But when I travel on a detecting excursion, I can just load this tote into the back of a vehicle, or pickup bed or camp trailer, whatever, and be completely prepared for any hunt site search coil need ..
if I am not already equipped with several detectors that are also travelling with me. These totes snap securely and I haven't had any water intrusion from incidental rain events and everything stays dry.
On a regular day-to-day basis I always have at least one and sometimes two detectors in my vehicle just in case I chance upon an opportunity to take on 'right-then.' But when I head off on a vacation or one of the
Welcome-to-Hunt Outings I like to travel more prepared. Sometimes on these different detecting trips I also find myself hunting with others who might not have a good coil for the site environment so I then have a
'loaner coil' on-hand. The
Accessory Coil Tote can fit in the back of bigger SUV or a pickup bed, or in a travel trailer.
Here are my
