Have not felt like posting for a bit so, I thought I would throw up a post of today's hunt.
I forgot my camera so, sadly no in the field photos today.
My buddy and I hit a few different spots today.
The first place my buddy and I have hunted for years and was built in 1803. Not much left here but, I did manage to find a really nice old GAR button on the hillside. This is my first GAR button I have dug in 33 years of detecting so, a nice button made my day. We really wanted to hit he fields near the home but, they where just to muddy.
We then hit a house we had been eye balling since spring when the son of the owner said check with his folks they will probably let you but, we where late getting permission there as two other people had already hunted it.
We gave it a quick scan and found an old wheat but, decided to move on too fresher turf. I am sure here are still items there but, we did not feel like staying. You win some you loose some.
Anyhow, we got permission at another site and it yielded more wheat's and a hem weight and the large flat button. We will go back here for sure as there has to be plenty left.
Sadly no Silver for me today but, there is always tomorrow.
Here are my finds today.
