In general life, metal detecting buyers ..... or some other meaning....

The club that I belong to there are 37 members. The majority of them will purchase a new detector and use it for a couple of months with dismal results. Then a new detector comes out, they trade in for a new one thinking that this is the one for me...

One gentleman who purchased a Compass X100 new out of the box, this is the only detector he has owned in over 20 years...Month after month, year after year he always takes home the prize in one of the three categories, Best coin, Best jewelry, Best relic...

People ask him, what is your secret. He always tells them, buy a detector, learn how to use it and you will be well rewarded...Surfing the web today, I came across this cartoon and thought about the club members who always jump ship thinking that there is a better one...
