Nothing great, but at least I got to use the T-2

Had to take my Grandson to school for his Trumpet lesson, so I decided to detect in back of the school for the hour it would take. Normally I don't go back there as it been hit hard by the people that just got a detector and looking for a place to go, plus the old area is covered up with the new school. Anyway I had the Explorer, the Sovereign GT, The X-Terra 70 and the T-2 plus my wife's MXT which works good for this type of hunting I could use, but the T-2 seem to win out this time AGAIN.
I notice as before some of the deeper pull tabs read as a coins signal and high pitched, but see where they don't seem to lock on as nice. I also see where you do have to go a bit slower as I notice before and when you get one of these good sounding signals you have to go just over that signal and try to get the best lock on. A good signal seem to lock on better on the tones and the meter will only vary a few numbers and not a lot of them like trash will. I also see if you get 2 or more coins with in a few inches you will hear them both, not just one signal which shows how fast it can recover. I did also see where a coin on top of the ground where the coil can touch it make it a little more difficult to pinpoint, but raising the coil a little make a big difference. I see where I had to run the disc higher than 10 and went to 50, but left it in the disc mode so I could thumb the disc to 0 if I wanted to check a iffy signal. On a iffy one I get a low tone of iron I know it is a trash signal, but if it is still iffy and no low tones it is one I want to dig like the walking lib I got last week as there was no low tone of iron when I dropped the disc.
The T-2 reminds me a lot of the Sovereign as you have to go slow at times and it seem like you learn something different each time you take it out.
Anyway here is my finds for the hour I was out, I was impressed at how well I did and the nice Wheaties plus not one rusted bottle caps today now I had the update, got a couple of deeper pull tabs and 2 pieces of alum cans that were over 8 inches deep. been thinking on selling the T-2 as i have too many detectors to use, but the more i use it the more I want to keep it, maybe have to sell one of the others, but which one as I like them all.

You sure got quite a few Quarters that outing Rick! That Wheatie sure looks nice also. Makes me wonder where the silver is hidden out behind the school. Keep pounding it and maybe you will find some and Good Luck and HH.

James,

Most of the quarters come from that area you guy were pouring the cement slab a week ago. I want to take my wife and grandson to this area first chance i get so they can find somethinng as the last 2 hunts my grandson got skunked.
