Nothing gold in the water these days, different story on the beach this morning

After being shut out of gold finds in the water lately, I finally scored one on the beach this morning along with $3.52 in clad using the XT705/HF DD Elliptical coil:clapping:First gold ring this month, Finally!! Might be small at .09g, but it's 14k and the diamonds are good. Never found one that is so thin with the gold used so sparingly. It's small at a size 5.5 and might be an old one seeing how the 14k is worn.
Beach was wet and hard packed after a bunch of rain last night and also pretty sparse with people this morning. Got out for a couple hours just after sunup the Gulf was flat and only two water hunters were out there. Should be a good weekend, weatherman says it will be rain free...it sure wasn't last weekend. GL ALL

* Might have to play some lotto numbers tonight...352 has worked for me before and 212 looks good from the clad add up. Hey, "Can't win if you don't play!":smoke:
25....$2.00
10....$1.20
5......$0.20
1......$0.12

DUH,...Well that makes more sense, I thought it felt like a little more weight in my hand this morning, but it just looked so thin and hollow I just went with what the scale said . Thanks GS

Nice ring! Any gold is good and now that you know it's 2.8g.....it's even nicer:thumbup:

Looks like a older design!! VN!!

Seeing and hearing what others are finding around here these days, I feel lucky to have found this one. Thanks
**Played my numbers (352 / 212) on the pick three last night........Winner was 342

Nice ring Bob. It has been tough out there......but....there are some to be found!

Cliff

Yea Cliff, I know that, but I've been rotating the beaches, using the DF, but, all I'm doing is cleaning up the caps, sinkers, hoops and other trash for you guys. Last shiny silver/ white gold looking band in my scoop was stuck to the magnet!! When I water hunt, It's for hours...too many, and that ends up killing the rest of the day for me. I can hit 3 or 4 beach sand hunts and be done by mid morning and still have time do some work on my house that I've been out of and living in my rental since last year. I'll be out with the Xcal this week, hope the water stays as nice as it has been all week. GL

Nice gold ring find!

Nice Ring you found, gold and diamonds are always good, and watch out for that pirate Cliff, he's a regular treasure hunter. only kidding

Nice find....glad that the weight "thing" got cleared up. I was wondering how it could be so light, expecially at 14k. Nice work.

Its flat work for gold in the water this year. Sand and renurishment has killed any old finds so you are looking for recent drops. You find out just how fast 15 guys a day with detectors can clean out a beach and how little gets dropped even on a very busy beach. A couple of inches with a PI just isnt making a difference...... well it does keep you from swinging that stick out there for hours.... at least you get to dig somthing. Congrats on the gold.

Cliff has some good equipment, knows what hes doing and WORKS at it HARD. I appreciate his leting me tag along sometimes to dig the bottle caps for him.
