Nothing compared to Brandy's finds but got out two days over this weekend...

Went to a wedding in New Haven and brought my detector just in case. My wife has given up fighting me when I want to bring the detector or fishing rods to weddings or other functions. :) She is a great wife. The wedding was amazing and so was the food. After eating more than I needed to I took a walk on the beach and found a lot of pottery from the 18-1900's and some pieces of older bottles. I found some seashells and was itching to find some shiny treasure. I went back inside with my wife and she said I can feel how much you want to go, so go have fun. I found a few sinkers and junk and got a few looks from the guests for detecting in spit shined shoes and a suit. Sommer's co-worker, jokingly said doesn't he know this is a wedding, she said well at least he wasn't out there all day fishing.
Today I drove down to CT again and got out with my cousin and his dad. We hunted a field that was rumored to have been a prison site for Hessian soldiers. The site is also a location of agricultural and winter fairs. We found out the area is town owned and decided to try it out. We didn't find any Revolution era buttons, coins or relics, but did find some other goodies. My cousin found his first silver half, a 66 Kennedy and I found a 1901 nickel. I also found my most coins in one hole, about 50 pennies or so next to the edge of the field. I figure someone had to use the bathroom and dropped a roll of new pennies. All in all it was great weather and great times.
