Not too bad of a day. And it didn't rain!

Wife out of town for a few days. WooHoo! so I dragged myself out of bed this morning, dressed and grabbed my trusty ol' Bandido and headed out the door for some much needed detecting. ( Despite the sink was full and laundry had to be done.) The weather man/gal was wrong about it raining.Turned out to be a great day. I decided to stay close to home and went to a park nearby. When I arrived I realized I "Ain't never been here before.". It's only a few miles from home? Hmm...Well I didn't find any gold or silver but I found more quarters then I had in a long time! 2.75 worth. Matter of fact my quarter count was the best out of all the clads today! Then I found a ring at about oh.....3-4 inches. Thought for sure it was silver coming out of the ground so shinny but there isn't any markings and it's signal petered out at the zinc zone. Shucks! Not sure what it's made from. Then I found a huge necklace that I was hoping was silver but again, turned out to be some junk bling. Couldn't have been there too long because it was just starting to show some staining. I kept my Disc. well below the nickle range with hopes of finding my first gold ring for 2010 so after about 4 hours my knees were getting sore so I loaded up the truck and headed home. So I didn't find any gold or silver but I did find enough change to pay for the gas and two pieces of jewelry ain't too shabby either. A good first hunt for 2010!
