I agree with your self analysis though. Little over exposed too. You need to slow down and experiment a little more with your subjects and lighting. I get the feeling that you seen those pretty flowers, stopped for one second, snapped the photo, and then kept on walking. You have a good eye for beauty, just pretend it's some kind of bug and take your time shooting it from different angles and settings. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
I don't spend much time with them. I don't spend much time with the bugs either, I am usually on a hike and just snap them and see what I have when I get home.
I guess I will never be a photographer but love taking pictures because it opens up a new world for me. The macro stuff is my favorite because it makes me stop and see the world around me. It is a facinating world.
