Found these metal detecting in my woods in central Massachusetts. Anyone know what they were used with or for?

The handle thing is a crank for a old car or tractor, that is what I think. The other thing could be a wagon tongue attachment .
 
Thanks! I was thinking something similar. The land is is covered in huge boulders So that it’s difficult to even walk through. I’m sure it was cleared as most of New England in the 1800s but not sure how they would ever get a car or tractor out there.
