This time I dug out the whole thing, I dug down 12 to 18 inches and then sprayed weed killer. Six pickups of dirt... bummer.

..... use patience ! I had a similar stinker of a ivy type too. I didn't want to use killer stuff, and I was not about to start digging, being too long in the tooth, and inherently, a bit lazy ! I starved that monster to death; any hint of green showing was promptly ripped out, with maybe up to 2-3 feet of white traveling root. I did though, use some bad gardener's language !

I did mention patience .......... right ? The battle was tedious, weekly, for 2 seasons, but I won ! No green showing, no food for the " mother " root I guess ! Gardeners gotta be tough and crafty, sometimes ya gotta use " tough love " too !

Oh, I was actually out 'tecting this AM, got about $3.30 kiddie coin. One of our lovely Toonies ( $2.00 coin ) including a nice pair of your US quarters ; thanks folks ! No, I am not sending them back .... so there !

He went to the feed store and bought 200 baby chicks. He came back in a week and bought another 200 chicks. A week later he was back for 200 more. The owner of the store asked him if he why he was buying so many chicks. The guy said" They all keep dying. I dont know if I am planting them to close together or to deep."
