Decided to go for a short spin Saturday evening, my wife and I arrived a little after 8:30pm and I detected for a little over an hour, While she watched.
I Managed to get several targets "11" in all.
Got the junk bracelet to the surface after MANY scoops, then the 925 earring after MANY MANY MANY scoops and then I got a rather bland signal I figured probably a penny, I scooped it up after just two or maybe three tries. It's a Ring!! By this time it's "pitch black dark", I can't see a thing! And because its just a quick hunt I didn't bring my light!! Dummy!
So....I "feel" the ring and can tell there is some kind of design on it. Well, I've dug up plenty of these, I think to myself! It's one of those "surfer rings" with the waves on it...Stupid junk!!!
So, I don't even put it in my pouch I just slip it on my finger...OOPS!...I'm still wearing my wedding band! Dummy!! "Your gonna lose, and Maybe even find your own wedding band!!...."
So now I've got two rings on my ring finger, and I go back to hunting....I'm digging targets and I keep feeling the "cheap surfer ring" wanting to fall of my finger.....So What!! Big Deal!! I've got plenty of those! But, I push it back on my finger!
Then I look down at my watch and see it's time to go...oh well nothing good this hunt...it was only a "short hunt" anyway!
Head back to the car...and my wife asks "did you get anything"... "nope..just this junk ring", as I flip the dome light on in the car........Wait, "that looks like Gold!?"........"That's gold!"......."This thing is heavy!?!?"...."I think this is gold!!".......as I look inside the ring...."5...8...5.." "Hot Dog 14k, alright!!!"
It was a great ride home!!!
