Not quite GOLD Frustration

26cent

New member
Been hitting a local park and found about $5.00 to $6.00 in clad but also found these two coins. One is a no value token, the other is a 10 cent EURO coin, when I dug it all I could see was gold and my heart skipped a beat. Guess the joke was on me.

BTW, William, if you read this thanks for the tip On the batteries, the LSD batteries are working great

Glad to hear it - I sure like not having to spend my clad 'treasure' on batteries! Nice token, mean of those Euros to make gold dimes!!

i dug a chuckie cheese token a liitle while ago and i felt the same missed beat as you described. followed by a slight giggle . i did find an eagle button 5 mins later(my first actually), so it made up for it

I cant even remember how many times I've been fooled into thinking I found a gold coin, is that considered a nitro? Or does that only pertain to rings with ice? HH :)

I have neem hunting since 2005 and have only found 2 gold rings, and 3 gold plated medalions...Gold is scarce in my area...I live in the Welfare state, and I think I found the bum area...lol

HH,

Your number is coming up, Gopher!! :detecting:

I've never seen a euro coin, surely would keep it. Have found more gold & silver jewelry on the beach/ in water than other places, although have found some at campgrounds, sledding /ski hills and tot lots.

I feel for ya'... my first (and only) dollar coin was a 1976 Eisenhower: I was searching a foundation where a house burned down some years earlier. I was getting really excited over that large coin until Ike showed his face. I was happy to find something of value, but still, what are the odds...?
