Not one post of finds yet?

I’m looking, and after all the hype I’d expect this page to be full of finds.Seeing a lot of guys posting they got they’re machines,,doing controlled tests, but nothing from the field?? Sure would like to be proven wrong ,that it’s not all repackaged hype, and see some actual finds.

I have seen a few Gold Ring Video's that showed Gold Rings that were supposedly found with Equinox. I am sure the Equinox is actually an Excellent Gold Finder if set right.
I find no matter what detector i use though the same sort of finds are found generally. Like Tabs , Bottle tops , Chewed Cans, and on farmland small buttons and shotgun case ends. My farm sites are the worst on the planet.

OK, this is from 6 hunts on house demos. First couple of hunts were in the stock Park 1, then I tried a few mods of Park 1, reaction, sensetivity, etc.. Then the last two hunts were in the tone mods that Danm posted which helped me tremendously in hearing stuff. Probably deepest coin was about 9" and a war nickel. Six hunts and silver and weats on every hunt. Second hunt hit silver sound and numbers were 26/27, and dug a belt tip and loop from western belt with silver base and gold flower in middle. So, 6 hunts, 2 war nickels, one '27 buff, maybe 25 nickels total, 4 silver dimes 15-18 clad, 1 quarter and maybe 10 clad, a silver chain with 3 small hearts on it, the two belt items and a late 1700's Chinese coin. Another war nickel and Merc from yesterday that I havent loaded up yet. Maybe 100 or more memorials and it separates out zinc from copper very well. Several copper car wash tokens, and lots of rusty nails in deep holes with copper pennies. Overall, IMHO, the target ID at depth sucks in a trashy field, nothing like the CTX. Depth so far is about the CTX depth in trash, Speed, wieght, reaction time, pinpointing, tones, and hitting test gold on the ground and in air is exceptional!

What I would be more interested in findings of places that have been hard over the years. When I get mine I have few in mind.

I have found a lot of coins with mine. Mostly clad but I did manage one buffalo nickel and a silver dime. I mostly hunt public places. I don't post many finds on here as I sometimes videotape the hunts. It is a killer on nickels and in my soil I can probably get a 10" coin. Deepest I have dug one so far is about 8 1/2 inches with a good signal and ID. I think I may actually keep it for a while.....Lol

I've seen many very impressive videos. Not sure where you get the idea there isn't any,

How about you go to Youtube and do a search for Minelab Equinox? About 4,520 results

People are posting finds all over this page and others. I've made 2 post with pics with my settings. You have to scroll down a page or two, but, people are posting.

Its too early on IMHO. It would take me weeks to learn the menu & control effects alone & be
good at it. Most start with the presets & tinker from there. At first you gotta dig everything too.
Add to that the N USA is frozen over.
Look at Utube. search then put in date order. Look at the newer ones. Some like an EQ vs AT Pro & Deuce
are VERY promising especially when you dont know how to best run it.
IMHO from what I see at its price the EQ will be a no brainer for most.

I follow the forums, wouldn’t put much stock in youtube, especially since most are from people in other countries..For what it’s worth.i put my faith in buying a machine from what I see posted on these forums,as I’ve heard you say yourself the proofs in the pudding..lol..If I want the best jewlery machine,,I look to see who’s posting the most jewelry,I would say Garrett..As for silver,,I look at which forum here is posting the most coins,Fbs,fbs2..I was just wondering why I asnt really seeing anything posted here,?
Like I said,I’m not knocking anything, just seems odd that no ones posting finds,,after all the pre hype

If you want the best Jewelry machine I'd look at "Ed the Beach Hunter's" youtube channel and see what he is using. His detector is like a magnet for HUGE gold, big silver and the most unique jewelry you have ever seen. It doesn't matter if he beach hunts or turf hunts. His detector is finding lots and lots of treasure.

Bigtom123 --

I can't speak for everyone, but I have been on 3 hunts with mine so far, all to my local, EXTREMELY hunted-out park (it was tough hunting BEFORE I started hunting it, and I have now hunted it HUNDREDS of times to where it's hard to find a single keeper now). I have chosen this spot, though, because I know it so well and it's a good place to learn a new machine, since I'm so familiar with it. I've been trying to get used to the machine, sounds, settings, etc. -- and so it's hard to make good finds when you are really trying to dig all sorts of targets and "learn" the unit. Still, I've managed two old wheats (1912 and 1917) and a 1927 Buffalo nickel; a gold plated piece of jewelry and quite a bit of clad, as well. One of the wheats was a full 8" deep, amongst nails, and gave a good, solid tone (not a "whisper"), so it was not a "fringe depth" target.

In time, when I branch out into better spots, with better understanding of the machine, I'll post some finds...

Steve

Finds so far with the 800

1x gold men’s band
1x silver woven band from water hunt
2 x stainless / junk (one beach, one water)

Beach 1 mode on sand, Beach 2 in the surf

Thanks for the feedback guys, and the pics of your finds.Thats what I was looking for,or hoping for...I know it’s probably a good machine, and I wasn’t knocking it..But before I run out and buy one, seeing finds always helps push me into it..Once again, thanks

You need to look a little harder. Look on down this page a few posts. I have one titled “Equinox 800 Maiden voyage roaring success, 4 silvers”

Yep I have one on here as well about the 800 and potential for relic hunting

Can't post finds, to busy moderating :nopity:
Besides nobody wants to see my junk

Absolutly I do not want to see your JUNK!!!

Ummmmmmmm . . . . Pretty sure that would be moved to the OFF TOPIC forum. :help:

jas415,

Might re-post your Equinox finds under your own NEW POST, so folks can read about YOUR hunt results and see YOUR pictures without having to wade through this post.

Just a thought.

I managed a couple keepers (maiden voyage for my 600) from a extremely picked over sight that has produced well over the years.

I got a 1945 wheat, a 1942-p war nickle, some kind of token? from Eau Claire, Wisconsin and the big
prize was an 1883 shield nickle in beautiful condition.

All signals were nice repeatable. The shield nickle was 8 inches deep, with a rusty nail about 2" directly
above it. It gave a solid 12-13 every pass.

Used park 2, sens 23, iron bias 2, tracking ground balance. Everything else was default.
