Not one, but two silver rings tonight

Hey all, managed to get out this evening at the park down the road from my house. Got there around 6:30 and stuck it out til 8:30. I hit the same ballfield but stuck near the edge of the parking lot. Tons of trash and foil around here, just how I like it! The trash is my friend. My theory is, where there is loads of trash, there is loads of goodies hiding. My persistence at digging trash paid off when I came across a bouncy signal in the mid 60's. It bounded from mid - high tone but stuck around the mid tone most of the time. Pulled the ring on the right, marked 925. Sweet, I was just thinking the other day how I only found 2 silver rings with the ATP, now I was up to 3! I walked a straight line from that ring signal and came across another bouncy signal. Solid mid tone. Dug down about 6", flipped up the plug and when I removed my digger from the hole, I saw the ring sticking to the end of my digger. It is brokien, but not sure if it was done by the digger or broken when it was lost? This one was marked sterling, awesome, now i'm up to 4 rings! Decided o pack it in after the 2nd ring.

Also, I found this odd piece of jewelry at the same place, but at opposite ends of the field. Rings up in the 60's. Looks really old. Has many scratches on the back and the loop at the end is bent over. I tried so hard to bend it back with my thumb nail and it wont budge. I dont see a stamp on it anywhere, but it does have lots of scratches on the backside. It was about 6" deep. I drop it on the back side and it has that silver sound. Drop it oin the front side and it has a hard thud sound. I'm certain its old silver. Definitely not lead.... Please correct me if I'm wrong. HH :)

Well done, Eric!! Three silvers makes a nice hunt! Not sure about the third - maybe a pendant?

Hey William, thanks for the kudos! I actually believe it was a pendant at one point in its life, I used a toothpick and started scraping away at the dirt between the parts on the backside. Once I cleaned it up better and removed all the dirt, I dropped it on my hardwood floor and heard that unmistakable silver sound, so I'm calling it a silver find :) I do have a silver acid test kit, but you have to file a deep notch into the item and then touch it with the acid and check the reaction and dont feel like mutilating it any further, unless I notched the loop part and could pass it off that it was lost because the loop broke  HH!
