So I spent about 4 hours in a local spot I hunt. Just about to give up for the day and there it was! A 1915 King george penny (bronze). What a rush! Its only worth a buck or two from what ive read but still one of the coolest finds ive had. I was using my Fisher ID edge. That thing was about 10 inches in wet sand. For those who dont know, its about the size of a half dollar. Locked on at 31 ID which is usually a silver dime on my machine. Anyway, just thought I would share the excitment. ID Edge rules!

Wow that is a nice looking coin for sure! Nice going

Up here in northern Michigan they are pretty much it when it comes to having a chance at finding a large cent. The ones I have found are, like yours, in very decent condition.

The obverse of seated Britannia holding a trident is a great design.
