I went detecting friday. Taught i could hit the local national park's beach at Oka. The place is virtually filled with swimmers... and outch ! I've never seen sutch a big concentration of the tinyest bikinis :) Of course, it's summer break in most college and schools and the beach are crouded with young folks. If i didn't saw two or three hundred or more nice gils i'd take a picture with the digger like you do down south !!!
Okay, back to detecting. Well the season is still very young at Oka. didn't even covered gas and parking fees that day. Only got stainless steel bracelet with the inscription : "Little Pimp"

Oh, and one very bad luck was waiting for me at Oka. My Tiger shark (witch just came back from servicing at tesoro, never used it since) was completely dead. I tryed to change the batteries, nothing, no sound at all. Fortunatly i had my stingray II as back up. But i'm a little pissed off. I prefer my tiger shark for that kind of beach... once i got it back from the factory, i tryed to turn it on... didn't worked. Then i switches coils and played witht the batteries...and suddenly it worked. But it's dead again :( so i guess there is a loose wire in there.

returned to Oka today, only got five bucks in clad and a small silver toe ring. Most of the coins were deep and are from previous seasons. I also found two cal. 20 cartriges. Funny i can still find those oldies with all the detectors passing by everyday !

Okay, last but not least. Anybody has a clue about this old spoon i found last week. Not silver but what metal ? Pewter ?
