Last Tuesday I hit a small park that has produced a lot of nice coins in the past but nothing this time. Did get a small sterling pin and a silver earing that I thought was going to be a little nickel. Some bits and pieces including a watch key. Don't know what the tweezer thingy is. It has a threaded hole at the closed end

Thursday got together with Rich and his Mom, Terry, and tried for some 1812 relics. All I got was two muskets balls but the picnic coins were fairly plentiful. 3 Indians & 2 Canadian LC's. The silver coins are a 1917 dime and a 1912 little nickle. The area floods every spring and any copper is well rotted. The crushed thimble is sterling.

Yesterday I spent the morning wading through shoulder deep blackberries, thistles, poison ivy, roses, stinging nettle and seedling black locust looking for a couple of old house sites in the woods. After 4 hours of leaving skin, blood and sweat for the ants to pick at I got out and went to a nearby park. Not much there. A '47 dime and a 60's pendant of a couple dancing.
