Not much found, but still had fun hunting a small neighborhood park............

I spent a few hours hunting a small private neighborhood park...a park that is owned by the neighborhood association. The only playground equipment is an old merry-go-round and swing set, nothing else, not even a picnic table. All that I found were modern clad coins with the exception of a large Mexican coin about the size of a half dollar. After I cleaned the Mexican coin, I noticed that it appears to be made out of brass, not copper as I first thought. I was surprised at two things, I found more nickels than normal and at the same time I only found one clad dime...strange. I only hunted around the merry-go-round because of the amount of time that I had for hunting, but next time I want to hit the area around the swing set and a couple old trees in the park. I suspect that there may be some silver coins and wheat pennies, but not much. All in all, I had fun using the MXT. Kelley (Texas) :)

That's one neat coin and sure cleaned up nice! I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope you will find some old coins at the park. Sounds like it's a good possibility. You had a good day of hunting. HH to all, Nancy
