Not metal. But a crazy find while detecting

Scenario84

Just wanted to share this cool and unusual piece of history dug while detecting a cellar hole. A mid-1800s toothbrush, made of bone. The bristles, long rotted away would have been made of boar hair. Not everyday you see something like this (at least not if your me). Going to go back this weekend and see what other metal and non metal items turn up.

DEAR : congratulations for what you found and i wish you can find the magical ring next time ,,, good luck:clapping:

Thanks! Id like to think its whale bone that would be cool. But I have no idea, I hear they made them out of ox as well. When I first pulled it out my first thought was ivory, but saw it was bone.

Interesting find. How did they keep the bristles in those tiny holes?
