This year has been tough hunting so far...I've been to several new sites and really haven't found much other than wheaties and one silver plated ring. Although I did find a 1918 British half penny in my backyard the other week. But on my way home the other day from THing, I stopped at the dumpster to get rid of some trash when I spied a box on the ground. Upon looking in it I saw an old newspaper, pulled it out and it read, " New York Herald April 13 1861"...I almost peed my pants!!!! Why on earth would someone throw this part of history away? Anyhow, I'm quite pleased w/ my find...I'll post a photo in a day or so...

That would be a cool find indeed! I dunno why someone would throw away such stuff but then again I don't know why my mother threw away all my Dad's Playboys including the first issue with Marilyn Monroe!!!
