Went back to my happy hunting grounds a soccer field that has produced 10 or more gold or silver rings since I started hunting it. Had a great day to hunt no rain in site upper 70s as usual clad was plentiful, I told myself first ring I would call it a day I had high hopes. Found a few quarters, pennies , dimes the normal stuff then I got a strong but different signal dug it up and it was a presidential dollar coin. Dug a few more clad signals then hit a silver signal thinking it was a dime I probed the target and pulled out a silver turtle ring size 4. Of course I didn't quit after that if there's one there's more right anyway found some more clad and another dollar coin! Total for the 2hrs 4.80 not to shabby 2 dollar coins 7 quarters 3 dimes 2 nickles 15 pennies will post a pic later hopefully with ring #9............... thanks for reading Keep swinging

Nice going! :beers:

Which Tesoro detector were you using? What were you settings?

I am using the DeLeon and have been using it and only it for the last 7yrs. I usually hunt at a little below iron and have found many thin gold rings, if its there the d will find it as long as I do my job right.

Hey phin, where on the soccer fields are you finding such goodies? I don't want to dig on the playing field, but that seems to be where the players would lose jewelry. I also don't like having to dig the playing field itself...especially as dry here as it is...can you give me some soccerfield coaching? I really want to hunt them, but don't want to cause trouble, or waste time I could be on tot lots for coins...

Most cities have youth soccer fields, I usually find most goodies on the sidelines where the spectators sit. Since i have gotten in good with the local clubs I can even hunt the middle of the fields with no problems from the guys that run the local soccer association. Lots of times they will even tell me of items lost when and where. One large field with 20 or more fields has produced many nice rings.

Odd thing for is that volleyball courts and athletic fields haven't produced much for me.

Must be doing something wrong.

That's the way tot lots are for me many people find rings there I have yet to find a silver or gold ring in a tot lot I find plenty of clad and all kinds of other stuff but no rings

Dressed in Professional Uniforms. Not like in the old days Blue Jeans and shirt.. same with all kids sports.
Most don't carry change or valuables on them while active in their sport.

Most of my finds are not on the fields but around the goals or on the sidelines the sidelines always get replenished with clad and dropped items every weekend when soccer or football is in full swing.
