Hello fellows, I went out for 4 hours and it was awesome. I went to the same place again and got about 17 dollars in clad. I love the accuracy of the X-Terra 70. What a great metal detector. I had a blast even though it was freezing out there. :clapping:
I had a question for you fellows, I think I didn't see it on the Faqfaq area. If you find a target and when you're going back and forward, the numbers go like from 8,10,12,16. Do you guys dig it? I digged some of these today and I found pieces of Aluminum cans. I just don't want to miss any gold targets. It did this many times today with many low numbers, all range between 3 and 4 numbers. For a target to be accurate and worth digging would you say it should only jump between two numbers? Any help would be appreciated fellows. Thanks!

That's right in the gold range. Plus the 12 could be a nickel. It could simply be a good target next to some bad. If you looking for jewelry you have to dig those. In a clean area in a perfect world you will get a steady LOCK on number. Also a reduction of your sens might tighten up the numbers?

Thx Khouse, the area is super clean. I can't believe how clean it is since there is a High school attached to it. The only trash I find is pieces of Aluminum cans and very little amount of pull tabs. My sensitivity is running at 26. In all the coins and everything else I found it only move one number up or stayed the same. Low numbers is what puzzled me today.

Try a sens setting of 20 to see if the low numbers settle down. Still you have to dig those low numbers hunting for jewelry.
